What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: 22 July 2026
What we do with your information
When you buy something from our store, we collect the personal information you give us as part of the transaction — your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer's internet protocol (IP) address, which tells us about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing. With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
Consent
How we get your consent
When you give us personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange a delivery or return a purchase, we take it that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason such as marketing, we will either ask you directly for your express consent, or give you a clear opportunity to say no.
How to withdraw your consent
If you change your mind after opting in, you can withdraw your consent at any time — for us to contact you, or for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information. Write to us at support@ruesaintpatrick.com.
You can also change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings on our site.
Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so, or if you violate our Terms of Service.
Hosting and payment
Shopify
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you. Your data is stored through Shopify's data storage, databases and general application, on a secure server behind a firewall.
For more detail, see Shopify's Terms of Service and Privacy Statement.
Payment
If you use a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data is kept only as long as needed to complete the purchase, and is deleted afterwards.
All direct payment gateways adhere to PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council — a joint effort of Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. These requirements help ensure credit card information is handled securely by our store and its service providers.
Third-party services
In general, the third-party providers we use will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.
Some providers — payment gateways and other transaction processors in particular — have their own privacy policies covering the information we are required to give them for purchase-related transactions. We recommend reading their policies so you understand how your information will be handled.
Certain providers may be located in, or have facilities in, a different jurisdiction than you or us. If you proceed with a transaction involving such a provider, your information may become subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. For example, if you are in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway in the United States, your personal information may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
Once you leave our store's website, or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service.
Links
Links on our store may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
Analytics
Our store uses Google Analytics to help us understand who visits our site and which pages are being viewed.
Age of consent
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province or state of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your province or state of residence and have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
Security
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, it is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, but we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
Cookies
Below are the cookies we use, so you can decide whether to opt out.
Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it from time to time. Changes and clarifications take effect immediately upon posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will say so here, so you know what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we use or disclose it.
If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

To access, correct, amend or delete any personal information we hold about you, to register a complaint, or simply to ask a question, contact our Privacy Officer.
