Performance Stretch Oxford

THE FABRIC

Performance Polyester

Why the right blend makes all the difference.

Not All Polyester Is Created Equal

When people hear "polyester," they often think of cheap, uncomfortable fabric. But modern performance polyester is an entirely different material — engineered for strength, smoothness, and longevity. When blended thoughtfully with cotton and spandex, it creates a fabric that outperforms pure cotton in almost every way that matters for a shirt you wear to work.

60%

COTTON

The foundation. Soft, breathable, and comfortable against the skin — cotton gives the shirt its natural hand feel and absorbs moisture to keep you cool.

36%

PERFORMANCE POLYESTER

The workhorse. High-tech polyester adds strength, wrinkle resistance, and colour retention — making the fabric smooth, durable, and low-maintenance.

4%

SPANDEX

The comfort factor. A small amount of spandex woven into the fabric gives the shirt natural stretch — so it moves with you, not against you.

"The best fabric isn't one fibre — it's the right blend."

Wrinkle Resistant

Polyester's rigid fibre structure bounces back from creasing — so your shirt stays sharp from morning commute to evening out

Shape Retention

Unlike pure cotton, polyester resists shrinking and stretching — the shirt holds its fit wash after wash

Built to Last

Polyester-blend fabrics retain up to 90% of their tensile strength after 50 washes — far outlasting 100% cotton

Iron? Optional.

One of the biggest frustrations with pure cotton shirts is the constant ironing. Cotton fibres relax under heat and moisture, creating creases that set in fast. Performance polyester changes that. Its engineered fibre structure resists wrinkling at a molecular level — blended fabrics wrinkle significantly less than pure cotton, meaning less time with the iron and more time looking sharp.

Stronger, Longer

Pure cotton softens beautifully — but it also breaks down. Colours fade, hems fray, and shape gradually drifts. By blending in performance polyester, the fabric gains serious durability. It resists abrasion, holds its colour vibrantly through dozens of wash cycles, and won't shrink or lose its form the way a 100% cotton shirt will over time.

A shirt that looks as good on the fiftieth wear as the first.

Cool Under Pressure

Cotton absorbs moisture — which is great until it holds onto it. On a long day, a pure cotton shirt can feel heavy and damp. Performance polyester works differently. It wicks moisture away from the surface, helping it evaporate faster. Combined with cotton's natural breathability, the result is a shirt that keeps you drier and more comfortable, even when the pressure's on.

Breathable cotton. Fast-drying polyester. The best of both.

Cotton for softness. Polyester for strength. Spandex for stretch.

Each fibre plays a role. Together, they create a fabric that's soft enough for all-day comfort, strong enough to hold its shape, and flexible enough to move with you — not against you. That's what makes it a performance Oxford.
